This ultimate quinoa and vegetable stir-fry recipe is not only easy to make, but it’s also incredibly versatile and customizable.


  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups water or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds for garnish


  1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water using a fine mesh strainer. In a medium saucepan, combine the quinoa and water or vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until all the liquid is absorbed.
  2. While the quinoa is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the bell pepper, broccoli, carrots, and snow peas to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce or tamari, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, and grated ginger. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and toss to combine.
  5. Once the quinoa is cooked, add it to the skillet with the vegetables and stir to combine.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.


This stir-fry recipe is easily customizable, so feel free to add or substitute any of your favorite vegetables. You can also add tofu, chicken, or shrimp for additional protein.
